I am a Brussels-based writer and researcher, working on political communication, mis/disinformation and geopolitics. I have a Bachelor Degree in Communication Science from the University of Bologna and a PhD in Media, Culture and Communication from New York University.

My most recent book is The Infodemic. Disinformation, Geopolitics and the Covid-19 Pandemic (Bloomsbury Academic 2023). I have also published the books  Social Media and the Post-Truth World Order (Palgrave Macmillan 2020) and, in Italian, L’ Era della Post-Verita’ (Imprimatur 2017).

My research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals (Popular Communication, The Journal of Italian Cinema and Media Studies, among others) and edited collections (The New Media and Technocultures Reader, The Palgrave Book of Contemporary Geopolitics and others) .

I have taught at various universities in Europe (New York University in Florence, John Cabot University in Rome, Vesalius College in Brussels) and in the Middle East (Lebanese American University in Beirut, The American University in Cairo).

My writing has appeared on New Lines Magazine, The Cairo Review of Global Affairs, The Conversation and L’Espresso, among others.
